I have finally decided to commit myself to maintaining a blog. I intend to use it to talk about politics. My close friends can be happy because I have found another venue to vent about current events and politics. I do not want to be another political pundit, but I want to focus on broader ideas. This is not to say that my thoughts will not be influenced to a certain degree by my background and experiences. But what I say can be applied to everyone, no matter their political thought.
I know that there is no end to different interpretations about the news, politicians, and government policies. There is an endless stream of news media and online blogs that continually offer their opinions. But I hope to share insights that I have gained while forming my own opinions. I do feel compelled to comment on the current state of politics. It seems like most people have a reason to be displeased with politics, either with the policies from both parties or how normal citizens engage in political debate. I therefore want to focus on how we can improve the way we all approach politics.
